Fast Packaging Glues

5-GLUE9010/12

5-GLUE9010/43

 Perfect for carton sealing because it is fast setting and has medium viscosity due to the high paraffin wax content (a viscosity modifier). It has a high molten tack which reduces the chance of a carton popping open,and is resistant to shrink tunnel temperatures. Basic polymenr is EVA
(Ethynol Vinyl Alcohol). Light brown in colour. Open time 15 sec.
5-GLUE9015/12 Economy grade EVA* polymer base glue for applications where a fast bond is required. Ideal for paperboard, wood, fabrics and polystyrene. High
viscosity prevents too much penetration of glue into porous surfaces. Can also be considered as a general purposes glue. Clear in colour. Open time is 15 sec.
General Purpose or Assembly Line Glues

5-GLUE9020/12

 A cost effective glue with excellent heat resistance, and high viscosity which makes it effective on porous substrates. Provides an excellent bond on soft and hardwoods. Also bonds a wide range of substrates including fabrics, ceramics, leather, polystyrene and some plastics (not polyolefins like PE and PP) EVA* poymer based. Brown in colour. Open time is 45 sec.

Clear and flexible with 45 second open time and good heat resistance. A better quality version of the 5-GLUE9020 with a higher tackier and resin
content for lower viscosity, better flow and a closer, tighter joint line. Ideal for hobbyists, florists, assembly of vertical blinds and lampshdes etc. Clear in colour.

High Performance Glue

 The glue to turn to when all else fails in the product assembly area. A medium viscosity formulation combining an EVA* polymer with a unique rubber base for an extremely shock resistant, resilient, rubber-like bond. It works on the most difficult surfaces including most polyethelene and PP plastics, acrylics, ceramics, glass, metals, fibreglass and hardboard. It is lightbrown in colour. Open time is 40 sec.
Spray Glue

5-GLUE9062/43

 Used for pallet stabilisation - holding together fibreboard cartons and PP racks and pallets which need to be moved and then pulled apart without
removing the graphics. Of our three spray glues this has the least plasticiser and tackier content and therefore the best flow and highest output. It is light brown in colour. Open time is 60 sec.
*EVA is Ethyl Vinyl Alcohol

Hot Melt Glue adhesive provides an instant and permanent bond between a vast range of materials and can be used for a wide range of applications such as; packing and carton sealing; potting and encapsulating; sealing, gap filling and reinforcing; repair or assembly just to name a few. There are two methods of applications – bead (or dot) and spray. Bead is a continuous bead of molten glue with the thickness, spread and pattern controlled by the operator. Spray is where the molten glue is sprayed from the TEC6300 glue gun which can be more advantageous as it is more economical with the amount of glue used and the molten glue is spread over a wider area and is more suitable for heat sensitive material that can be damaged by bead application.

  • First on Left: a 1.5mm wide bead enables approx 560 linear m/kg
  • Second from Left: a 3mm wide bead enables approx 153 linear m/kg
  • Middle: a 6mm wide bead enables approx 67 linear m/kg
  • Second from right: a 10mm wide bead enables approx 46 linear m/kg
  • Far right: a 12.5mm wide bead enables approx 31 linear m/kg
  • In comparison a small dot of glue approx 0.7cm wide gives approx 6600 dots/kg
  • Small dot approx 1.3cm wide give approx 3390 dots/kg
  • Medium dot approx 2cm wide gives approx 1520 dots/kg
  • A large dot approx 3cm wide gives approx 735 dots/kg
