Get Packed have put together Plastic Strapping Kits as well as Steel Strapping Kits to suit our whole range of strapping widths. These are ideal for those who are starting out and don't know what is required - so we put it together for you, or for those putting together a kit for the first time. The Plastic Strapping kits come in 12mm, 15mm, 19mm and 19mm heavy duty and include Plastic Strapping, Plastic Seals, Tensioner for plastic strapping and a crimper/sealer. Steel Strapping Kits come in 12mm, 15mm and 19mm and include steel strapping, metal seals, crimper/sealer, tensioner and dispensers. See our List of Sizes below for more details.

PLASTIC HAND STRAPPING

The Polypropylene hand strap comes in 12mm x 1000m, 15mm x 1000m & 19mm x 1000m convenient dispenser box. The strap is embossed to prevent slipping of seals and buckles. The 15mm and 19mm (400kg B.S) strap comes in a heavy band which has a much great breaking strain.

PLASTIC MACHINE STRAPPING

Polypropylene machine strap is available in automatic grade to suit all strapping machines. It has very small variations in the width and curvature so that it travels through the semi and automatic strapping machines smoothly. The most common size is the 12mm x 3000mm Machine Strap in white or blue and has a breaking strain of 100kg – 120kg. We can custom print and or colour the machine strap to suit your requirements.

STEEL STRAPPING

Steel strapping comes in either RIBBON (RIB) form which is small hand rolls or ROPE which are longer industrial rolls. Steel strapping is available in standard grade for standard every day palletizing or high tensile heat treated for heavy duty palletizing applications available in 12mm, 15mm, 19mm & 32mm. Steel strap dispensers are available for either RIB or ROPE strapping.

POLYESTER STRAPPING

Polyester Strapping can replace steel strapping in most applications, while being less expensive than steel and easier and safer to use. It has no sharp edges which is better for handling and creates a safer work place. Polyester strap does not rust or stain packs or pallets when exposed to the elements and is UV resistant. Polyester strap come in various thicknesses and available in embossed and smooth. Polyester strap can be used with hand tools or a battery powered hand tool like the GPZP22 or GPZP26 which tensions, seals and cuts.

Get Packed's polyester strapping dispenser with a 406mm diameter core is made to suit green polyester strapping. Our dispenser has wheels and a storage tray that can fit your seals and strapping tools or is ideal to hold your Zapak Battery Operated Strapping Tool.

STRAPPING SEALS & BUCKLES

We have metal seals for Polypropylene, polyester and steel strap they come in various sizes and style to suit the strap. Seals are designed to be used with a sealer or crimper that crimps the seal onto the strap forming the join in the strap. Buckles in either plastic or wire (metal) are able to be used without the need for tools, although a tensioner can be used to tension the strap.

STEEL STRAPPING TOOLS

Steel Strapping Tensioners use a feed wheel tensioner to tighten steel strapping. A sealer or crimper with its long and sturdy arms and tough crimping teeth is placed onto the seal and then pulled together to emboss or crimp into the seal and seal the steel strapping. A steel cutting tool is used to cut the strap.

POLY STRAPPING TOOLS

Tensioners are used to tighten the plastic strap. The end of the strap is held tightly by a square gripper plate and with a simply lever or ratchet motion the strap is tensioned ready for adding a seal. A sealer or crimper with its long and sturdy arms and tough crimping teeth is placed onto the seal and then pulled to emboss or crimp the seal that joins the strap. The tensioner has an in built cutter, which after the strap is sealed is cut. Tools for plastic strap are available to suit all sizes of strap.
