Global Market Developments and Resin Costs

Get Packed has recently been advised by several suppliers that, due to tensions in the Middle East and disruptions to key international shipping routes, there will be an increase in the cost of supplying plastic-based products.

In particular there has been a rapid increase in polyethylene resin costs due to shortages, volatility in global feedstock markets and a lack of recycled plastics supply. To compound this, international freight rates have also risen with 'war risk' surcharges now being applied to some shipping routes, there have been disruptions to shipping lanes, port operations and carrier schedules all leading to higher transit times, which also worsens an already higher fuel cost.

Whilst Get Packed will absorb costs as much as we are able to, unfortunately the combined impact of all of the above will limit our ability to do so and so give you notice that price increases are on their way.
