Poly Strapping Kit | Plastic Strapping Kit | Polypropylene (PP) Starter Strapping Kit
Our Poly Strapping Kits, also commonly referred to as Plastic Strapping Kits or Polypropylene (PP) Strapping Kits, provide everything you need to start strapping cartons, packages and light pallet loads. Each complete strapping starter kit includes: 1 x 1000m roll of Polypropylene Plastic Strap, 1,000 metal seals, 1 x Tensioner & 1 x Sealer
These Plastic Strapping Kits are ideal for first-time users who are unsure which strapping tools and consumables they require, as well as businesses setting up a new manual strapping station. Kits are available in 12mm, 15mm and 19mm plastic strapping, including a heavy-duty 19mm option for securing heavier pallets and loads.
Each Poly Strapping Kit contains the plastic strapping, compatible metal seals, tensioner and crimper/sealer required to tension, seal and cut polypropylene strapping securely around cartons or pallets.
Polypropylene strapping should not be confused with PET polyester strapping, which is generally green, stronger and designed for heavier palletised loads. If you require higher-strength strapping for heavy loads, see our range of PET Polyester Strapping.
A strapping tensioner is used to tighten the plastic or poly strap around a carton or pallet. The ratchet mechanism tensions the strap to the required level before a metal seal is applied. The tensioner also incorporates a cutter to cut the strap once the seal has been crimped.
A strapping sealer or crimper is used to crimp the metal seal around the plastic strapping, creating a secure joint that holds the strap firmly in place.
- 12mm Plastic Strapping – breaking strain up to 70kg.
- 15mm Plastic Strapping – breaking strain up to 140kg.
- 19mm Heavy Band Plastic Strapping – breaking strain up to 400kg and supplied with both 19mm heavy-duty strapping kit options.
Also available separately is a Plastic Strap Feeder, featured in the first video below, which assists with feeding plastic strapping underneath a pallet.
