Self-seal bags as the name suggests are plastic bags with a distinctive strip of interlocking plastic at the top of the bag that self-seals or locks the bag closed. The ease of opening and closing has made the self-seal poly bag a more convenient and cost-effective form of re-useable packaging. This style of bag has many names from the simple sandwich bag, press seal bag, zip lock bag, zip seal bag, click seal, click n seal or the self-seal bags which we tend to call them. These Press Seal bags are used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications to store, transport or display items that need regular access.

With a large range of sizes and the option of personalised printing, self-seal bags are popular items in a number of applications. Custom-made sizes are also available.

Measuring A Self Seal Bag or a PPRS Bags

Also known as Press Seal Bags, Ziplock Plastic Bags, Resealable Bags and Secure Bags or PPRS bags. Resealable bags have a number of applications ranging from Printed material, garment storage, food storage, small parts, manufacturing, electronics and many other industries use self seal bags.

  1. Measure Length (L) from the bottom of the bag to the base of the Press Seal.  Above the resealable section isn’t counted in the size of the bag.
  2. Measure Width (W) of the bag from side to side, this is the opening edge as well as shortest or narrowest side.
  3. For thick or bulky items adjust dimensions accordingly to allow the item to fit through the opening.
