Packaging for Bottlers

At Get Packed we have found ourselves to be a packaging supplier for businesses that bottle anything from honey, jam, wine, gin, all types of distillers and even pharmaceuticals.

So we decided to put together a list of items that may be of interest to these customers.

Shrink Sleeves
Shrink Sleeves are a plastic sleeve that is placed over the top of a bottle or jar then heat sealed that helps in evidencing tampering. It isn’t a seal used to stop the product from leaking, simply a product used to act as a final seal once items have been bottled.
They are most commonly purchased as a clear sleeve, but are also available as a black sleeve. Both are available with or without easy tear perforations.

Get Packed provides samples, but as they are a custom made product – cut to size - quotes would be provided to determine correct sizing for your product. To find out more please follow this link: How to Order Shrink Sleeve Samples

Heat Gun
Most smaller producers apply their own shrink sleeves by hand – for which they need a heat gun. The heat gun is used to apply the heat that shrinks the sleeve to fit perfectly over the top of the bottle or jar. See the video below to see how its done.

Security Shrink Seal Tunnel
This is a machine that has been designed to specifically apply the heat to the tops of bottles for the purpose of shrinking shrink sleeves. And it can shrink sleeves in a higher productive capacity. It has a conveyor speed that ranges from 5-30 meters per minute. It has been designed for smaller bottles with a cap diameter from 25mm – 80mm with the bottle itself having a maximum diameter of 100mm. It features an adjustable height that can be from 50mm – 400mm.

Custom Labels
Every bottle needs a label and is the most cost effective way of promoting your business. Get Packed can assist in taking you through the process so that once design and dimensions have been sorted we can arrange for the production of your labels. All custom labels are made to order and need to be quoted.

Bottle Labelling Machines
See our full article: “Bottle Labellers – Manual and Semi Automatic”, but in a nut shell the base model is a manual BenchMATE bottle labeller that at the turn of a handle can apply between 8-12 labels per minute. Then we have our semi-automatic labeller that is capable of applying over 1000 labels per hour. It has a few different versions that enable high production rates, can adapt to particularly small or particularly large bottles and can include foot pedals and sensors – all Australian designed and made.

Cardboard Perforating Machine
Think how good your bottle would look when it arrives to your customer, they open the box and the bottles are packaged in attractive recycled cardboard packaging. The HSM Profipack Cardboard Shredder comes in both a free standing or a desk top model. You simply insert your flattened cardboard box and the Profipack will perforate the box as it comes through the machine. Then it will spit out the attractive protective packaging on the other side. Simple to use, and you can provide your own packaging on demand.

Honeycomb Kraft Paper
This is an alternative to the perforated cardboard as an attractive form of protective packaging for your bottle. The kraft paper has been die cut to form a honeycomb type structure when it is stretched – forming an attractive padded paper wrap that not only provides protection, but looks good too. It is available in kraft, black or white (white has minimum order quantities) and comes on a 250m (x500mm) roll.

Cardboard Boxes
Available in off the shelf standard sizes, but can be custom made to suit. Either find them standard on the website or talk to us directly and we’ll quote for custom specifications.

Black Pallet Wrap
Its important when transporting highly desirable goods that they're not always obvious what they are - so black pallet wrap is an ideal way of securing your pallet whilst at the same time concealing the goods within. Black Pallet Wrap is available in both hand rolls and machine rolls.
