Teflon Tape for Heat Sealing Equipment
Teflon tape ensures clean, consistent seals when using heat sealers, vacuum packing machines, and shrink-wrapping equipment. Applied over the sealing rubber, Teflon tape prevents the sealing wire from burning grooves into the rubber, creating a smooth, flat surface for the wire to make contact. To avoid electrical shorts, it’s critical that the sealing wire does not touch any metal components of the heat sealer. Teflon tape provides a protective barrier to help prevent this. We offer high-temperature-resistant Teflon tape in a variety of widths and sizes, available as adhesive-backed tape or PTFE-coated fabric sheets without adhesive. This tape is ideal for covering sealing wires or other heat-sealing surfaces. Additionally, we supply Teflon belts for side seal machines and mesh belts for shrink tunnels.

Metal-Detectable Teflon Tape has a foil backing and silicon adhesive to provide a nonstick surface and protect the sealing surface of heat sealers and shrink wrappers. It should be used in all food-related industries so that the worn tape can be identified by the metal detector before leaving the factory.
