How to Hand Wrap a Pallet
Always start by securely tucking the end of the stretch wrap under the product at the bottom of the pallet. This will allow you to pull on the roll with some force so that it will stretch around the product to be secured.
Notice in the video below that the stretch wrap (or pallet wrap) is held with the wrap dispensing from the underneath of the roll.
Continue to pull on the roll around the pallet working from the bottom of the pallet, around and slowly up the pallet allowing the stretch wrap to overlap the previous/lower wrap.
Notice in the video below that the product is a pallet load of boxes of tape that have been secured with strapping prior to being wrapped. This assists in stabilising the load so that it is not relying solely on the stretch wrap to keep it secure. Especially as they are individual boxes with some weight behind them. The addition of strapping (in this instance) and stretch wrap will stop the load from sagging or tilting whilst being transported on a truck.
To finish pallet wrapping pull the stretch wrap slightly over the top of the pallet (for additional security) and then simply tear the wrap to finish.
In the below example end plugs have been used to go inside the ends of the roll, altenatively a hand pallet wrap dispenser can be used. Both assist with allowing the pallet wrap to dispense with ease.
In the case of rain or bad weather, Top Sheets can be added onto the top of the pallet and simply held in position with the pallet wrap.
