What is TECBOND adhesive?

Tecbond® Adhesives offer reliable hot and low-melt adhesives suitable for various applications and industries. These adhesives provide instant, permanent bonding on various materials without the need for harmful solvents. Particularly well-suited for fast and repetitive gluing applications, Tecbond hot melt adhesives come in stick or cartridge form, easily loaded into hand-held glue guns.
In the application process, the solid adhesive is loaded into a heated chamber where it melts, and users can extrude it from the nozzle by gently squeezing the trigger. Most materials can be bonded using hot melt adhesives if the parts can be assembled while the adhesive is still molten. The molten adhesive is applied to one of the surfaces to be bonded. When the parts are pressed together, the heat dissipates into the substrates, solidifying the adhesive, resulting in an instant bond or seal.
The working times of Tecbond hot melts range from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on factors such as adhesive formulation, ambient temperature, substrate temperature, and the amount and configuration of the adhesive applied.
Importantly, Tecbond hot melts are 100% solid, non-toxic adhesives with no solvents (no VOCs) or water. This eliminates concerns about odours or mould in finished products and eliminates the need to pay for solvents that evaporate. These adhesives are safe and easy to store, boasting a virtually unlimited shelf life.
